A pair of light up shoes built for Richard DeDomenici
Richard Says
” Hino trucks built until the mid-noughties are distinguishable by the array of three green lights positioned above the windscreen. One illuminated light means the truck is going slowly, Two means it’s going quite quickly, And three means get out of the way! No one has yet to adapt this system to other forms of transportation. As such Richard has designed a pair of prototype Hino Shoes. Into each toe shell of a pair of white sneakers are inserted three green LEDs, which illuminate as the wearer changes walking speed. In this video Richard tests his Hino Shoes on the streets of Yokohama, as part of his recent residency at TPAM.”
